With one match remaining to end the first stanza of the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League Season, the League Management Company, LMC, the body saddled with the responsibility of running the elite domestic Nigerian League has given a two-week break in line with its tradition, while fixtures for the second phase of the league after the match-day nineteen (19) tie on 20th March, 2022, across the country, have also been rearranged to reflect on the break period.
This implies that the second stanza of the League, starting from matchday twenty(20), will now kick-off on Sunday, 3rd April, 2022, while the match-day twenty-one(21) fixture will hold on Wednesday, 6th April, 2022.
This means the Nasarawa United versus Shooting Stars game earlier scheduled for 27th March and Nasarawa United vs. Heartland FC earlier scheduled for 3rd April, have both been moved to 3rd and 6th April respectively.
Also contained in the letter sent by the Chief Operating Officer of the LMC, Salihu Abubakar to the twenty NPFL Clubs, subsequent arrangements in the remaining fixtures shall remain unchanged.
Kindly find, attached, a copy of the letter sent by the League Management Company for further information.
