Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan striker, Ayo Adejubu scored his fourth Goa of the season in the colours of the Oluyole Warriors.
Interestingly, the former Sunshine Stars of Akure forward has netted all the goals as second half substitute.
All the goals were scored at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
1) 3SC 1-1 Akwa United: He came off the bench to score a face saving equaliser against Akwa United in a matchday two tie played at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
The goal will go down as one of the best personally for him and 3SC as a club, as the Promise Keepers were on the verge of running away with a 1-0 win, having scored a first half goal through Achibong Utibe, who is bow with the Oluyole Warriors, before Adejubu’s’ late leveller ensured the sharing of the spoils.
2) 3SC 2-1 Kwara United: Again, the young lad was on hand to put his team back on track after the Afonja Warriors had scored shot into the lead in the second half.
With fans already losing their patience, coach Edith Agoye introduced Adejubu and he made his introduction count by firing past goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba to draw 3SC level. Ebenezer Odeyemi’s late goal earned 3SC a dramatic win but it was Adejubu’s goal that set the tune for the win.
3) 3SC 4-0 Heartland: Four goals in the second half gave the Stars their first convincing win in the campaign. Again, the left footed winger was on hand to hit the target after he was introduced into the game.
With the Oluyole Warriors leading by 2-0, courtesy of goals by Kolawole Daniel and Malomo Taofeeq, Adejubu, in his usual manner, came on and scored the third, before Nafiu Raheem, another substitute in that match, made it four.
4) 3SC 3-0 Lobi Stars: Adejubu joined the fray in the second half when his team was already two goals up against the Makurdi based side and there was no stopping him as he scored another superb goal, off a brilliant silo effort, typical of how he did it against Kwara United
That was his fourth goal as a second half substitute and that takes him to the number one spot on Shooting Stars’ scorers’ chart in tbe ongoing campaign.
Indeed, Ayo Adejubu, the sleeky left footed striker, is fast becoming the latest super sub in the land.
