“Winning at last,” were the words of the coach of MFM FC Olalekan Gabriel who certainly knew while sitting at the team’s dugout that anything short of victory meant relegation waters for his side.
“It (relegation) is not our portion. We worked for victory and we got it,” coach Gabriel said.
MFM FC ran out two-goal winners in the NPFL matchday eleven fixtures and they next face struggling Katsina United in matchday twelve in another important away fixture. Coach Gabriel has called for fair officiating in the game saying that’s all they need especially coming from what they learned in their last away game at Kano. “We have to come out fully to play but we also pray that we have a good center (referee) and officiating should be fair. If the officiating is fair, my boys are up to the task to pick up a point there,” he said.
Coach Gabriel also urged Lagos fans to stay put, keep supporting the club and watch them go all out to win their home games coming up.
