The Solid Miners, Nasarawa United had a feel of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, ahead of their Nigeria Professional Football League matchday eleven crackers against Jigawa Golden Stars on Sunday afternoon.
United who are going into the game coming from a 2-1 home victory over Akwa United a week ago, looks determined to cause an onslaught against their host tomorrow.
Jigawa Golden Stars, nicknamed “The Giant Killers” like Kano Pillars, are using the Ahmadu Bello Stadium as their temporary home-ground, a terrain the Solid Miners are very familiar with.
The hosts are four points above the drop zone, placing 13th on the league log while Nasarawa United are just three points below the top three positions on the ladder, placing 7th with seventeen points, following Akwa United’s 1-0 victory over Plateau Saturday in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.
Coach Bala Nikyu is expected to rotate the team that played Akwa United last weekend after including some new legs into the traveling team, with the players beaming with confidence ahead of the tie.
The game between Jigawa Golden Stars versus Nasarawa United comes up on Sunday, 21st February 2021, by 4 pm at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
