Mbwas Mangut, assistant coach of Rangers International has tagged yesterday’s loss to Katsina United as “disappointing”.
Rangers before the game were on top of the table but dropped to the fourth position after the 2-0 loss in Katsina.
The loss has dealt a blow to the Rangers’ title challenge after the other teams above them had slipped a night before.
Reacting to the result, the assistant coach of the team said “It was a little bit a disappointing display from us”.
“Because we really worked hard for a much better result. We planned a lot of strategies but we failed in the transition from defense to attack.”
“We did not do too well in defense and our opponent took advantage of it.”
Rangers next face table toppers, Nasarawa United on Monday at the Cathedral for a matchday 17 tie.
