Newly signed Abia warriors goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke has revealed his adventures with Sunshine Stars over two stints recalling his time as successful even though the league was cut short due to the pandemic before his switch to the Umuahia based club admitting that the club’s future ambitions was just too good for him to reject.
Olorunleke joined Imama Amapakabo’s new-look side earlier last week as he recently confessed that the ambitious move in the transfer market and their distinguished style of play is an offer one can’t resist especially with the new coach at the helm of affairs.
The Kogi born goalkeeper posited in an exclusive chat with Sports247.ng: “This is my first time working with Imama, he’s a great coach with great technical input to the game, and I have been waiting for close to three years now just to have an opportunity to work with him.”
“The lockdown has brought a lot of restructuring to various clubs, players engage in individual training due to the indefinite halt of sporting activities except clubs who have resorted to the virtual platform, honestly, I can tell you that I’m 70% fit to start off but as it is if we are asked to start now, am sure within the next few days we will hit maximum fitness.”
“I train personally and am fit enough to start the league due to the personal training I have undergone which is the same to every serious league player to observe personal training to keep fit as well.”
Ojo revered that he can’t wait to kick off the new 2020/2021 season as they push to contest for the title and book continental tickets.
