Kwara United striker Ajibola Otegbeye has stated emphatically that Plateau United will face the toughest battle of their lives on Wednesday.
Harmony Boys will be facing current NPFL leaders Plateau United on Wednesday in their next Nigeria’s top flight encounter.
Plateau United are no doubt the toughest team this season in the NPFL as Abdul Makaiba has been able to make superb transformation at the Jos based club.
But Otegbeye who made his first start this term for Biffo led side against Wikki Tourists is not perturb about their status, and therefore warned Plateau to underrate Kwara United at their own risk.
“We are not scared of Plateau United and we are going to shock them and many football fans who have already written us off for this game.
“I am particularly targeting scoring my first goal for Kwara United against Plateau and I’m sure we will get good result against them in Jos,” the former Sunshine Stars who joined Kwara United during the transfer window explained.
In history, Kwara United have never won against Plateau United in Jos and even their best result in the cold City was a 1-1 draw against Mighty Jets in the National League.
But after laboring hard to beat Wikki Tourists at the Ilorin Township stadium on Sunday, a win for Kwara United against Plateau will definitely take them out of the relegation zone.
Already, Biffo and his wards have gotten seven points away from home with wins over Nasarawa United and Akwa United, while picking a point against Dakkada in front of their faithfuls as the fight to maintain their NPFL status continues.
