The Nigerian Professional Football League side Sunshine Stars FC players of Akure are unhappy and on standby to withdraw from their next league match against Ifeanyi Ubah FC over a financial misunderstanding with the management.
According to Brila, the Akure based NPFL club notified its player of the management’s decision to slash over fifty per cent of each players’ salary from February till the end of the 2019/2020 NPFL season.
The public is yet to be informed about the new developments in the club. It is however reported that all the players have reached an agreement and will not show up for its next league game against Ifeanyi Ubah FC as they hope the management reconsider their decision.
Sunshine Stars FC in its last game defeated Ifeanyi Ubah FC at the Akure Sports Complex to move up to the fourth position on the league table last Sunday.
They are scheduled to have a match this Sunday.
