Kano Pillars FC technical adviser, Ibrahim A. Musa has singled out poor finishing in front of goal by his forward players as the main reason why the Sai Masu Gida failed to win in two consecutive Nigeria Professional Football, NPFL, matches.
The former league champions lose narrowly by 1-0 against Rangers Int’l in a rescheduled NPFL Match Day 11 played on Wednesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium before losing 2-1 to Rivers Utd on Sunday.
Speaking to www.kano-pillars.com shortly after the match, the gaffer of the Sai Masu Gida, Ibrahim A. Musa has described poor finishing by his forward players as the major problem affecting the club at the moment.
He said that if his players had utilized the chances came their way during the two encounters, the story would have been different.
“We got many scoring opportunities but we failed to utilized them like the way Rivers Utd did”, Coach Musa said.
He said it is necessary for them to go back to the drawing board to ironed out the grey areas in the team.
He then expressed hope that the National champions would bounced back and assured the management, Government, good people of Kano state and the entire fans of the club that the team would not disappoint them at the end of the season.
The Pride of Kano are currently sitting 10th on the 20-teams NPFL log with 27 points from the 20 matches played so far and would welcome Dakkada FC on Sunday 1st March, 2020 at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kofar Mata.
According to the mouthpiece of the club, Rilawanu Idris Malikawa, the Sai Masu Gida would leave Port Harcourt on Monday morning to the Pyramid City.
