The management of Plateau United Football Club of Jos has proceeded on a one week break following the suspension of the Nigeria Professional Football League after the ravaging scourge of the Coronavirus virus which has assumed a global pandemic.
General Manager of the club, Pius Henwan stated that the recess became necessary in order to enable the player have some rest pending when the league will resume .
Henwan explained that the break which is to enable the health authorities find a lasting solution to the pandemic on how to contain the virus will afford the team the opportunity to take a deserved rest after a rigorous campaign which began since July last year.
The General Manager appealed to the players to stay away from the crowd and avoid training as directed by the Nigeria Football Federation NFF as deliberate measures to halt the spread of the virus.
