Good officiating in the Nigeria Professional Football League has been deemed as the lasting solution to crowd violence in the league.
This was disclosed by the chairman of Abia Warrior FC, Pastor Emeka Inyama in an interview with journalists on football online platform, Family United by Football, FUBF.
According to Pastor Inyama, “good officiating is the solution to abating hooliganism.”
Abia Warriors were involved in crowd violence in the about to be cancelled NPFL season in a match against state rivals, Enyimba FC.
Pastor Inyama said being hard with measures on both clubs and players will be help in the fight against crowd violence in the league.
“The only way to curb hooliganism is to be firm and tough with our punishment. No two ways about it.”
“It starts with getting clubs to pay severe penalties and that rubbish will stop.”
