With the League Management Company, LMC looking for ways to end the 2019/2020 NPFL season, chairmen of the Nigeria Professional Football League have made it easy after involving themselves in a poll on how to end the season on Sunday.
According to a statement from Alloy Chukwuemeka, executive secretary, Chairman Club owners Association of Nigeria, All twenty clubs were represented at the poll with seventeen of them voting that the season should come to an end with the top three clubs to represent Nigeria at the on the continent next season.
However, Enugu Rangers voted in favour of a super six play off which will see the top three clubs at the mini tournament gofor CAF competitions as Akwa United and Lobi Stars did not vote.
The seventeen that voted for the season to end included: Kwara United, Kano Pillars, Katsina United, Jigawa Golden Stars and Adamawa United.
Others are Wikki Tourists, MFM, Sunshine Stars Enyimba, Warri Wolves, Abia Warriors, Nasarawa United, FC IfenayiUbah, Dakada, Heartland, Rivers United and Plateau United.
If this poll is the final decision taken on the NPFL for this season, there will be no relegation or promotion for this season.
