Current boss of Akwa United, Kennedy Boboye has expressed optimism that the 2019/2020 NPFL season will be concluded.
Boboye shared his thoughts via his Twitter handle saying ‘I’m patiently waiting for football to return as soon as possible. More importantly, I hope the NPFL is concluded not cancelled’.
The NPFL season had been suspended due to the break out of Covid-19 in the country.
Boboye who took over the realm of affairs at Akwa United from John Obuh continued by saying ‘ I’ve really missed the beautiful game, my players and how I would scream out instructions to my team from the sidelines’.
The NPFL title winning coach ended his tweet with a prayer that said ‘May God heal the land’
Since his appointment with the promise keepers, they have risen to the top half of the table after a disappointing start to the season.
