Ahead of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), head coach of Delta Queens, Tosan Blankson has revealed the level of his team to get back into action and get the job done.
Delta Queens are currently placed first on the log of the NWFL Premiership log having played eight games, won six, drawn two in total to amass twenty (20) points, five more than second placed Bayelsa Queens who are on fifteen points with the same amount of games played.
Although the Edo based team are the only side that have maintained a perfect record in the Premiership in the 2022/23 season but Blankson stated that his side wants much more than just a perfect record.
In an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng, the tactician spoke of the remaining games and also the Super Six phase which is the most important.
“Thank God the break has ended and the league resumes back. The girls can’t wait to showcase the stuff they are made of.”
“Every game is important gearing towards the Super Six as it is the all important moment we are waiting for,” he stated.
“Words don’t play, action does and we are going to justify that in the remaining games.”
