The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club were present at the just concluded Noah Dallaji Legacy U17 basketball finals to cheer the players.
The ANFASS Club President, Abayomi Prince Ogunjimi talked about the group and their aim in Nigerian sports circle while speaking to newsmen at the final ceremony of the 10 day basketball fiesta.
He said: “The supporters club despite being created mainly for cheering the super eagles has diversified to other sports and this is because there is the need for athletes in other sports to get the necessary support to do the country proud”.
“As you can see the Authentic Nigeria football and other Allied sports supporters club is here to give our support for basketball”.
Prince Ogunjimi also stated that if not for the pandemic the group would have been to Japan for the Tokyo Olympics to cheer the athletes,and despite not being able to go there,the Authentic group were on ground with the honourable minister of youth and sports to receive the athletes.”
He further talked about the fan base of the group as they already have chapters in several parts of the country and still aim to increase the number . The club is open to sponsorship and partnership deals with different willing bodies to help in achieving their goal.
