Premier League Newcomers Norwich City and Sheffield United are among the front runners in talks to sign Middlesbrough fans favourite and former Chelsea star John Mikel Obi.
The 32-year-old former Chelsea man is unlikely to still be at Boro at the start of next season, he says there’s already a determination in the dressing room to right the wrongs of this year’s disappointment.
Sports247 has gathered that a number of Premier League sides and Championship clubs are already jostling to get Mikel’s services for the coming season.
The Super Eagles captain has insisted on staying in England, so there are no chances for clubs outside England to get his signature.
Pressed on his own future and the offers he’s received, Mikel said: “I’m not going to tell you that. We’ll see what happens,” he told the club’s website.
