Coach Sulyman Ashifat (Brazil) of Kwara United has called on fans not to press the alarm button as the rebuilding process at the club continues.
The Harmony Boys were held to a 0-0 draw by non league side Kano Selected at Ahlan Cup 2019 on Monday.
Despite the dropped points, coach Brazil says the team is focused on their next game and they are confident they will bounce back against Sokoto United.
“We created so many chances and were supposed to win by three to four goals. It was a bit frustrating that we didn’t take our chances.”
“What happened on Monday is gone, and nothing can change that. It’s behind us and were are getting ready for our next game on Sokoto United.”
“The rebuilding process continues. We can’t afford to rest on oars until the team gets to the Promise Land. There’s no cause for alarm and I believe that we will respond in a good way,” Coach Brazil mentioned to Ahlan Cup Media.
Coach Brazil dispelled the insinuations that the technical crew of Kwara United underrated Kano Selected by benching most of their key players in the first half.
“We didn’t underrate them (Kano Selected). Opponents determines the calibre of players we field. Notwithstanding we hope to rectify the lapses noticed and try to get better,” he added
