Following their 1-0 defeat against TradeSafe FC in the NNL, Bakare Emmanuel Adebayo of Warri Wolves spoke to Sports 247, expressing mixed sentiments about the outcome.
Adebayo acknowledged the team’s effort, stating, “For us, we gave our all. The pitch was new to some of us but we fought till the end.” Despite the loss, he remained optimistic, emphasizing that it’s “not the end of the season.”

Reflecting on the opponent’s performance, Adebayo credited TradeSafe FC for capitalizing on their opportunities, admitting, “The opponents were sound, they saw the opportunity and they made good use of it.”
However, he highlighted that the focus for Warri Wolves is on the future, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming rounds in the NNL.
Regarding their performance in the first round of the season, Adebayo described it as “natural,” acknowledging the competitive nature of the league.
He also commented on the refereeing in Nigerian leagues, noting the tendency for home teams to prevail but emphasizing that it’s not the primary concern.
Looking ahead to the next round, Adebayo affirmed the team’s determination to push for promotion, stating, “In the next round, we will come all out to make sure we get promoted.”
With these reflections, Warri Wolves aim to regroup and refocus on the challenges that lie ahead in their NNL campaign.
