“It wasn’t what we expected as we were really prepared for this game but that’s football, sometimes you play well and lose, sometimes you don’t play well and you win. However, in this match, we did all we could but the officiating of the game made this game so difficult for us,” Joy Cometh’s first-choice goalkeeper, Akin Olalabi told Sports247.
Joy Cometh players felt like they lost all three points even as they dropped only two in this 1-1 draw to Abia Cometh in Agege Stadium, Lagos and they feel hard done by the officiating of the referee.
“At the beginning of the game, we were pushing and pressing to get a goal but the referee and the linesman kept cutting us off and even the goal we got, had it not been for the noise from the people around, we wouldn’t get the goal. We hope for a better game next time and prepare for the games ahead of us,” the goalkeeper added.
