The Nigeria National League Super 8 playoff is set to kickoff tomorrow in a bid to determine the teams that will gain promotion into the top flight, NPFL and teams are reflecting on the opportunity before them.
Speaking to Sports247, coach of Remo Stars Daniel Ogunmodede said it’s an opportunity they have all been preparing for and are ready to go.
“It’s a moment we’ve been craving for and everyone is ready to take the opportunity as it has come,” he said. “It’s a young team we have of boys that are willing to take the chance and not take anything for granted as they realize opportunity comes but once. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we’ve been preparing all this time for it,” Dan concluded.
Remo Stars had a blistering run to the regular season finishing top of the Southern Conference Group B2 ahead of Bendel Insurance in 2nd to qualify for the playoffs.
With the draws set to be held today Monday 6th September, 2021, the Super 8 contest is billed to hold between Tuesday, September 7 through Saturday, September 11, with all matches holding at the ‘The Cathedral’, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
