Adewale Alao, the proprietor of Purple Crown Academy in Enugu, has showered accolades on Olumide Ajibolade, coach of Beyond Limit FC, following the team’s historic promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
Alao, a prominent figure in Nigerian football, expressed his admiration for Ajibolade’s achievements and tactical acumen.
Beyond Limit FC, a sister club to Remo Stars FC, secured their NPFL promotion with a narrow 1-0 victory over Inter Lagos FC, maintaining their top spot in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super-8 southern zone.
This milestone is particularly remarkable given the club’s recent establishment, which has quickly risen to prominence under Ajibolade’s leadership.
Reflecting on Ajibolade’s journey, Alao noted, “I am not surprised because I saw this coming. I’ve watched his progress over the years, and his dedication and tactical intelligence have always stood out.
He’s a gentleman, always willing to learn and collaborate with others before making decisions, especially when it comes to tactics.”
Alao highlighted Ajibolade’s strategic brilliance during the decisive match against Inter Lagos FC.
Despite pressure from the opponents, Ajibolade’s decision to “park the bus” in the second half ensured his team’s narrow lead was preserved.
“In the second half, it seemed like his boys weren’t playing anymore. No, he needed to defend that goal. He brought in more defenders, turned midfielders into defenders, and frustrated the opponents with his tactics,” Alao explained.
This victory positions Beyond Limit FC for a showdown against Nasarawa United to determine the NNL’s overall champion, while Ikorodu City will face El-Kanemi Warriors in the third-place match.
Regardless of the outcome, all four teams have earned their promotion to the NPFL, promising an exciting season ahead.
Alao concluded by emphasizing Ajibolade’s potential to make a significant impact on Nigerian football, predicting that he could soon be coaching the national team.
“He’s not just a coach; he’s a mentor, a leader, and an inspiration to many. We need to appreciate what he’s doing for Nigerian football,” Alao added.
The praise from Alao, a respected figure in the football community, emphasize the impressive achievements of Coach Olumide Ajibolade and his team’s bright future in the NPFL.
