Smart City FC of Lagos defeated Beyond Limits FA by 2-0 in the Nigeria National League, NNL, match played on Saturday to maintain their perfect start to the season, Sports247 reports.
In the encounter played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan Lagos saw Smart City FC took the game to their opponent from the start to the end of the game got rewarded with the three points at stake in their second match of the 2024/2025 NNL campaign.

It was striker, Kalu Daniel who teed up Monday Emmanuel to finish brilliantly, with a low shot that beat Beyond Limits goalkeeper, to put the citizens ahead.
Monday Emmanuel doubled the lead via another assist by Kalu Daniel to take the game Beyond limits FA assisted by Kalu Daniel to give the Lagos based team a good lead into the half time break.
Beyond Limits came out smoking in the second but Smart City FC was able to fend off all attacks from the determined Ikenne Boys.
Speaking after the game, Man of the match, Kalu Daniel, described the victory as an important victory for the side said it’s an important victory as the team remained focused on gaming promotion into the Premier League at the end of the season.
” We played a very good team, but, we were better today and it was very glaring for everyone to see, and this victory will further boost our morale going into our next game”.
On the secret to their successful outing Daniel Monday said the team spirits made the difference and appreciated the fans and management of the club for their total support.
