Remo Stars opened their Nigeria National League campaign with a thorough 5-0 pummeling of Anambra-based side, Godosky FC but the head coach of Remo Stars, Daniel Ogunmodede has said he’s less interested in the scoreline but the result.
“The most important thing is the three points that we won. For me it’s not really the goal margin but that we won and picked up the first three points of the season which is good for our confidence and that of the lads. We want to win every game and go into each game with the approach of winning and that’s how this club is,” said Coach Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars in an interview with Sports247.
The win puts Remo Stars top of the NNL Group B1 table with FC Nilayo and Joy Cometh the other two teams winning in the group behind them on goals and coach Dan has spoken about his philosophy of play during games.
“My philosophy is basically called IJA BALL and it’s not about Tiki Taka but a consistently controlled possession styled football that attacks with a fast pace. Every opportunity that attack is what we want and not circulating the ball for circulating sake. This game was a tip of an iceberg, we’ll have more hypothesis to talk about the principle of play of Ijaball as the league progresses,” he said.
