In his effort to support the return of the Solid Miners back to the elite domestic football league next season, Chairman, Nasarawa State Football Association, Salisu Galadima (a.k.a. Basira), on Tuesday, donated the cash sum of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (N300,000.00) to players, officials and backroom staff of Nasarawa United FC following their heartwarming victory over hosts, NAF FC, in the match-day ten Group C clash of the ongoing 2023/24 Nigeria National League Season held at the Area 3 Football field, Abuja, on Sunday, 10th March, 2024.

The FA Chairman made the donation to the team shortly after their morning light training exercise at the Lafia City Stadium.
According to him, “I feel very happy with the result you recorded against NAF FC in Abuja.
“It was a very tough game and the points would have gone to either sides, but your experience, hard work and determination to return to the Premier League came to play and you ran with the valuable points.
“It is even more heartwarming when the beautiful result was achieved in the presence of the State’s Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, and other high profile stakeholders from the State, including myself.
“It’s this great feeling that has prompted me to appreciate the team’s effort with this token of Three Hundred Thousand Naira, which is part of my administration’s deliberate action to boost morale, encourage hard work and excellence for optimal results.”
Salisu Galadima also assured that he would continue to lend necessary supports to the team to achieve the mandate of its establishment.
“Let me assure you that I will reward you more handsomely should you win your subsequent away games.”
Officials of the Solid Miners, including Captain and former Nigerian junior international, King Osanga(MON), Technical Adviser, Usman Adams and Team Manager, Solomon Babanjah, all appreciated the FA Chairman for his magnanimity and generous disposition, promising to justify the confidence reposed in the team by the ever supportive people of the State, especially His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule.
They, however, pleaded for more support to the Club as it’s traversing its last hurdles enroute to the Premier League.
Recall that Okonkwo Chinonso’s lone goal in the 68th minute was all Nasarawa United needed to amass the maximum points off a determined NAF FC, the club’s first away win of the season, a result that catapulted them to joint-top with Wikki Tourists FC on twenty points each, but with the latter only leading by superior goals.
