Bendel Insurance FC of Benin on Saturday evening convincingly beat FC Goddosky of Rojenny 3-0 to maintain their unblemished home win record this season.
Ojo Tolulope set the tone for the Benin Arsenal by opening the scoring for the host seven minutes into the game when he sublimely curled a well-crossed ball from team captain Maurice Prince, to render Goddosky goalkeeper helpless.
Left-back Kenneth Eduoze would have opened the scoring but his shot hit the bar and ricocheted three minutes into the game.
The visitors almost equalized before the break but their effort hit the woodwork.
On resumption of the second half of the game, coach Benard Ogbe quickly effected some changes, bringing Meyinwa Oritsewehinmi who netted the third goal 9:02 minutes to complete the route after Sarki Ismael had made it 2-0 in the 78th minute.
The inclusion of Imade Osarenkhoe and Matthew Oshoke 10 minutes to regulation time added bite to the Insurance attacking force and made them more aggressive.
The Benin Arsenal drew goalless with FC Goddosky in their first meeting at the Rojenny International Stadium.
Insurance now have 27 points from fifteen games played so far, three points behind leaders Remo Stars who suffered a heavy defeat in the hands of J.Atete same Saturday evening.
The Benin Arsenals who have two outstanding games will be on the road to FC One Rocket next week to continue their search for away maximum points.
