The Nigeria National league (NNL) has reeled out additional mandatory measures for its clubs to keep legitimate status with the league ahead of the upcoming 2021/2022 season.
To this effect, the NNL has put machinery in place to enforce the regulation on the registration status of the clubs and transfer of players, as key element in promoting the professionalism of football and the league in Nigeria, as required by statutes.
Clubs have consequently been directed to ensure full compliance by registering their players through the transfer matching system (TMS) and FIFA Connect programme, in keeping with instructions from the Nigeria football Federation and in line with directives from the world football ruling body, FIFA.
Refusal to comply by any club will mean denial of registration for the season.
Registration for 2021/2022 NNL season will be done through the newly created *NNL REGISTRATION PORTAL* its access and code will however not be made available to clubs who are not on the TMS and FIFA Connect.
FIFA Connect Programme helps member associations (MAs) register all their stakeholders in a systematic way and keep track of players, coaches and referees – wherever they are in the world. The Connect Programme provides a unique FIFA ID code for every individual who has a role in the football organization.
Meanwhile, the yearly general assembly that will bring all stakeholders in NNL together and usher in a new season, has been fixed for Wednesday 15th of this month with a prior Special *RETREAT* for the clubs on Tuesday 14, December, 2021 in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
