NNL: Fear Grips Warriors as Rejuvenated Omoluabi Giants Target Away Points

All roads lead to Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan on Sunday, 19th May, 2019 where a rejuvenated Osun United will lock horns against Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan in the week 5 fixture of the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL), sports247.ng can report

The Oluyole Warriors narrowly won the first leg of the South West derby played at the Osogbo Township Stadium courtesy a 76th minute strike by Ifegwu Ojukwu who was a shadow of himself in the game until a late defensive error dashed him the opportunity to take the drowning warriors to the river bank, said Tajudeen Ahmad, spokesperson Omoluabi Giants

Bouyed by the solid second round preparation of Omoluabi Giants where teething issues surrounding the poor performance of the team were thrashed out, the camp of Oluyole Warriors have begun to exercise the fear and anxiety, having being caged at the Lekan Salami Stadium early this year during a pre season friendly, where Warriors swords were seized by the fiery Giants.

Although 3sc are currently topping the group B1 with 10 points in 4 games, Osun United are fully ready to halt the arithmetic progression of the high flying Stars, who were toothless bulldogs at home in the first game of the season, having being held to a one all draw by the visiting Abia Comets.

Speaking after the training today, Osun United Coach Samson Unuanel described his team as a “rejuvenated one” that will give 3sc a run for their money in Ibadan on Sunday.

“I am pleased with what I have seen in the team since Monday. The cohesiveness, the beliefs, the unity, the determination and morales of players are high which gave us the hope that we are going to Ibadan to pick our first points away from home”.

“The loss of some players to injury and fitness tests led to the narrow victory of 3sc in the first leg but Osun United are now a different team, battle ready to turn the table around”, submitted Coach Unuanel.

Also speaking, President of the Club, Chief Ademola Adesina who was a utility player during his days at the Oluyole Warriors said “3sc are my former team and I quite understood the special technique to make them crack”, joked Chief Adesina.

The match will hold on Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan beginning from 4pm.
