In what should be termed a southwestern derby in the Nigerian National League, Remo Stars who are fighting their way into the NPFL pay a visit to Crown FC and it’s been termed an emotional reunion by the coach of the young side.
Daniel Ogunmodede expressed his emotions as he spoke to Sports247 on what will be an emotional game.
“The match is an emotional match for me as that’s where I started from professionally. I’m going to my former club, not just my former club but a team that actually encouraged me to be who I am today and this is very key and it’s honestly emotional for me,” Dan said.
The coach was taunted with how he would react if his side picks up the win since most players tend to show their respect to their former clubs when they score by not celebrating their goal.
“I won’t celebrate winning them, honestly. When I win them I won’t celebrate, I’m going to give them a lot of respect because I’m determined to go there to win. So when I win, there’s no celebration over it,” coach Daniel, popularly known as “Ija ball” said.
