Head Coach of Ekiti United Football Club, Kehinde Anjorin has expressed his profound gratitude to the Ekiti State government led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji for their unflinching support given the state team in preparation for the upcoming Nigeria National League NNL scheduled to kick off on 22 March across centres of the federation.
Anjorin disclosed in a chat with sports 247. ng early this morning that he is impressed with the support received from the state government ahead of their NNL opening match against Madiba Football Club of Lagos saying that the entire team is in one accord to make the people of Ekiti happy when the league starts in the next two weeks.
“I am happy that the Ekiti state government has committed to the team’s preparation ahead of the new season. Recently the commissioner of Finance and Economic Planning,Mr. Akintunde Oyebode, and other government officials unveiled my humble self and the team’s new jerseys to the people of Ekiti state. This move is a morale boost for the players and coaching crew to do better when the league starts,” he said.
Anjorin explained further that they are in the league not to make numbers but to qualify for the super eight playoffs at the end of the season.
He however promised the people of Ekiti state a good outing and urged them to pray for them in all their matches.
Anjorin admitted that the abridged league would be tough for all teams but vowed that Ekiti United would come out victorious at the end of the season.
