Abia Comets FC Dependable Defender and Stand-In Captain, Benjamin IIuyomade, has revealed the team’s readiness ahead of Saturday’s Matchday 11 home clash against Uyo based club, Vandrezzer FC.

The encounter, which is slated to take place at the Umuahia Township Stadium, would see Comets hopes of continuing on its five games unbeaten run.
While speaking with the Abia Comets FC media, shortly after the team training session on Friday, IIuyomade expressed that he is confident that the team will secure all maximum points and put up a good performance against Vandrezzer FC on Saturday.
“Yes, as you can see the team generally is in a high spirit, after playing five matches unbeaten you could see the confidence is fully back in the team, and everybody is ready to give it all and that was the reason why we had that vital result in our last away game, ” he told Abia Comets FC Media.
Speaking further he said ” you see the Referee tried to Frustrate us but we kept our minds calm because we fought to the end to secure a vital point away, which is difficult to get in this league.”
The playing captain, who has registered two assists this season explained that the players knows what is at stake ahead of Saturday’s Clash against Vandrezzer FC.
Of course, this is our last home match of the first stanza of the league, you could see that the spirit is high and everybody is highly prepared ahead of this game. the coaches have really done great job to put the team in a better position to produce good performances in games, I believe that we are going to be victorious at the end of the day, ” lluyomade said.
“We are not going to take them (Vandrezzer FC) for granted or underrate them because they are also a good side, because in their last three matches they got a good results, so it is not going to be an easy game against them.”
“For them to beat the team who is also topping the group (Madiba FC) showed that the are on a good run means that they are also fully prepared too. But we are fully ready for the game and I believe we will beat Vandrezzer FC on Saturday,” he concludes.
