Okechukwu Chukwu was named Man of the Match, a testament to his outstanding performance on the field. Despite the team playing with fatigue, they gave a commendable account of themselves, according to Head Coach Ikechukwu Ejeh.
Ejeh praised his team’s resilience and character, particularly in away games. “They are soldiers. They have the attitude to play in away games. They don’t know the difference between home and away games, which you saw today. They showed that character today,” he said.
However, Ejeh expressed dissatisfaction with the officiating, suggesting that the referee was biased towards 1472 FC. Despite this, he commended his team for their resilience and for securing a point.
Looking ahead, Ejeh is hopeful for a win against the Stormers. He hinted at changes in their approach for home games, aiming to secure the full three points. “No two games are the same. We are hopeful for three points against the Stormers. And we will change some of the approaches we’ve been using in our home games. Hopefully we get the three points,” he stated.
The Comets’ next match will be a crucial one as they aim to extend their unbeaten run and climb higher in the league standings.
