Head coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Edith Olumide Agoye and the skipper of the team, Omololu Waheed are both upbeat the team would claim the top spot of its group at the end of the season, sports247 reports.
On Thursday, the Oluyole Warriors were drawn in group B1 of the Nigerian National League (NNL), having crack teams like Bayelsa United, Akwa United, J.Atete, Osun United and Abia Comets to contend with.
In his reaction, coach Agoye expressed confidence that no team would be able to stop his side from emerging top of the group at the end of the season
“Having seen the teams in our group, I am so confident we will pick the promotion slot ahead of others
“I am not underrating any team, especially the little known clubs because teams will always up their games when it comes to Shooting Stars but going by the level of our preparations and the zeal of our players, we will make it”, declared the 3SC gaffer.
Media Officer of the Oluwole Warriors, Tosin Omojola said that the captain, Omololu Waheed equally expressed confidence the Oluyole Warriors would dwarf other teams to win the sole promotion ticket in the group.
“We have prepared enough for the season and we are fully ready to go for the kill when the season begins.
“We want to make our teeming supporters and fans happy and only way we can do this is to gain promotion back to the elite league this season”, said the 3SC skipper, who added that the Stars are not afraid of any team
Coach Agoye and Omololu urged every stakeholder to give total support to the team as the season gets underway
sports247.ng reliably scooped that Shooting Stars would begin their quest for promotion with a trip to Enugu for a tie with Giant Brillers in the season’s opener on Wednesday.
