Gombe state-based Doma United have sealed their promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League for the first time in the history of the club after defeating 2nd placed Jigawa Golden Stars on matchday 20 of the Nigeria National League(NNL) on Thursday afternoon.
Harun Ibc and Muhammad Muhammad both scored in the 39th and 65th minute respectively to hand Doma a comfortable 2-0 win at the Pantami Stadium Gombe and the vital three points which send them directly to the Nigeria top flight.
Doma United have been impressive in the 2021/2022 campaign, they defeated Nigeria Professional Football League outfit, Gombe United in the final of the Gombe FA Cup to clinch the state title and the ticket to represent Gombe state at the finals of the 2022 National AITEO FA Cup later in the year.
