Players of Warri Wolves Football Club of Warri have been tasked to stay focused and committed to the club’s goal of getting back to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Chairman of the Club, Neville Ambakederemo stated this in an interview in Akwa where the team defeated Beyond Limit FC of Ogun state 4-0 in the federations cup,
round of 64.
The Warri Wolves Chairman said with four points behind group leaders FC Rovers and One behind FC One Rocket who is 2nd in the B1 Southern Conference Group, it is still possible to turn things around with a high level of focus and commitment.
According to him, the second stanza provides the team the opportunity to correct its mistakes in the first stanza adding that the remaining Five matches would be enough to put the Warri-based side in its desired position to gain promotion to the NPFL at the end of the season.
He also charged Coach Jolomi Atune’s tutored side to see every game as a final in the second stanza, beginning with the first against Go-Round FC at Omokun.
It would be recalled that in the first stanza, Warri Wolves FC in week 1 lost to FC One Rocket 2-1, Drew at home 1-1 against
Vandrezzer FC, in week 2, before recording a 2-1 away win over Henserd Fc in Week 3, a 2-0 away loss to Rovers FC and a 1-0 away win over
Go round FC.
