Heartland FC of Owerri has named the vastly experienced Nnaemeka Anyanwu as her new Captain,in a release made available to the media, Head Coach Christian Obi believes Nnaemeka Anyanwu has the requisite qualities to lead the team.
“Anyanwu is dedicated determined and disciplined , he is a thorough bred professional who leads by example ”
General Manager Promise Nwachukwu also shared the sentiment of the Coach , describing Anyanwu as a Worthy Captain who understands the task ahead.
“Anyanwu is a role model to the younger players, he also understands the task ahead , which is to return Heartland to the top flight ”
Reacting the new Skipper Nnaemeka Anyanwu promised to work hard alongside his teammates, the Technical Crew and Management to return the Club to the Premier league.
Meanwhile the Nigerian National League Officials visited the Dan Anyiam Stadium to inspect facilities ahead of the commencement of the NNL.
Heartland has prosecuted loads of preparatory games as she prepares for life in the NNL which includes some grade A games against Abia Warriors, Akwa United to mention but a few.
