The Nigerian National League starts in a few day’s time and teams have continued to sharpen their preparations prior to the start.
Coach of Remo stars, Daniel Ogunmodede despite losing the game against the new Lagos-based side, Vandrezzer FC, has stated openly that his boys played well and created a lot of chances to win the game.
“We’re ready. What we want to get out of this game, I achieved it. It’s a win-win game for me, not just about the result but about knowing the antics of the home teams when you play away,” coach Daniel said.
He spoke about the antics of the home side, saying he was disappointed in it and he wasn’t interested in teaching his boys such as he’s an evangelist of good football.
Remo Stars drove to Lagos on Saturday and also played the game on Saturday but their coach has refused to blame the loss on fatigue. “I’m not used to excuses for failure. No fatigue. We lost the game because we were unable to take our chances. Our opponents had two chances in 90mins and score one, we got about ten chances in the first 45mins and we scored none. Now I know where to work on,” he said.
Daniel Ogunmodede concluded by talking about his side returning to the top-flight as the NNL should commence on the 13th of February, 2021, other things being equal.
