Following the two weeks break of the NNL league, Joy Cometh’s goalkeeper, Akin Olalabi has reminisced on the first stanza of the league admitting that the first half showed lapses of organization in terms of unfair officiating, difficulties in scoring despite preparations behind the scenes, and financial constraints during an interview session with sports247.

“In the league, I can boldly say we are the only team that plays the possession-based game, not talking about the premiere, but here in this league even opponents seldom admit it oftentimes than not.”
“We are very difficult to play against but the officiating aspect has been a thorn on our flesh, we aren’t supposed to be in the position we are in the league and it’s so obvious to everyone who follows the games.”
“Since the break began, our coach and the technical crew has made it to understand that it’s either we go hard or go home. We have been working tirelessly in every area, we had just 3 days break, we are now back working on our errors and lapses because we still have a huge task ahead of us, it’s one of those things because opportunities don’t come all the time.”
On the team’s preparedness for the second half of the league as Joy Cometh FC defeated Holly Arrows FC 1-0 yesterday at the Agege Stadium, he allayed, “We are ready for the second half collectively as a team now as we hope for a better second half.”
