As preparation for the kick-off of Nigeria National League (NNL) gathers momentum, Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna, have held a lecture on the FIFA new laws/rules of the game as amended.
In his address during the lecture session, Dr Jibril Isah of Niger State Referees Council, while commending the Management of Niger Tornadoes FC for the initiative, said, the programme is timely as the NNL season is just a few days away from kick-off and the gesture would go a long way to aid the players on how best to conduct themselves throughout the season.
He said Tornadoes is a top club and therefore paramount for the players and coaches to understand the new amendments in the FIFA laws of the game so as to be on the same page with the officiating officials at all times.
NPFL Top Referee and rave of the moment Abubakar Abdullahi nicknamed (FIFA) also took a turn to explain the need for a cordial working relationship between the referee and players, which he said can not be achieved without the player’s perfect knowledge of the rules of the game.
The Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes Abubakar Bala Mohammed, while thanking the invited guest lecturer and another guest for attending the programme, assures that all the theoretical aspects that were discussed would be put to practice in order to get the players acquainted with the new rules before the season commences.
The programme which took place at the Club’s house, Niger State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Minna, was attended by Players, Coaches, and some Members of the Nigers Tornadoes Management Committee as well as; the Chairman Niger State Referee Council Abubakar N. Audu and Yahaya N. Abdullahi Former Niger Tornadoes player and present Coach of Mokwa Football Academy.
