The Acting General Manager of Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso, Mr. Oyeleye Oyekunle, has assured fans and supporters of the team that playing their home matches at the LAUTECH pitch instead of the Soun Township Stadium will bring positive results needed to propel the team to the elite division.
The former Administrative Secretary made this known in an exclusive chat with the Broadcasting Corporation Of Oyo State (BCOS) Television’s Saturday Breakfast Sports anchored by the renowned TV Sports presenter, Mr. Boluwaji Ogunmola.
In his words, ” we feel comfortable playing at the Lautech pitch and we believe we will get expected results there, with the support of all stakeholders’.
The Maracana Stadium at the Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso will be the new home ground of the Ajilete Warriors instead of the traditional Soun Township Stadium.
The change in venue of the home matches is as a result of the ongoing renovation of the Soun Township Stadium by the Oyo State government.
The players are used to the pitch having been training there for quite a while and played many friendly games with positive results.
Mr. Oyekunle Oyeleye, therefore, assured all lovers of the Ajilete Boys of a very fruitful outing in the yet to commence 2020/2021 Nigeria National League (NNL) having adequately prepared.
Crown FC will play host to Jossy FC of Enugu in the NNL Opener rescheduled to hold on Wednesday 3rd February 2021.
