Warri Wolves on Saturday claimed maximum points against Cynosure FC on Matchday Nine of the 2022/2023 Nigeria National League, NNL, campaign, after they beat their opponents the Ebonyi based team by the a lone goal.
Midfielder Tega Ebetomame scored his sixth home goal of the season in the keenly contested tie.
The former Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, campaigner met and directed perfectly a well delivered corner kick inside the net to give the Seasiders a well deserved lead in the 24th minutes of the match.
That significant moment was good enough to settle the game in favour of the Wolves, as the visitors could not secure the equalizer.
Speaking after the match, Warri Wolves striker, Tuoyo Pippah, described Cynosure FC as a very good.
He praised his teammates for resolutely holding their own the visitors.
“I’m happy that we won today,” said Pippah.
