Joy Cometh’s playmaker, Jide Taiwo has admitted that he and his teammates can’t wait to get the ball rolling when Joy Cometh host Gateway on Sunday at the Soccer Temple, Agege stadium
The 2020/2021 NNL season is set to commence this weekend following the inconclusive nature of the League last season, due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
Jide Taiwo in an interview with Sports247, said that he and his teammates are geared and ready for the upcoming NNL season, as they can’t wait to get the ball rolling, with their first game coming up this weekend against Gateway Fc at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, stating that, even though the pandemic affected the team, they had been training, amidst the global crisis which affected the whole world.
“We have been preparing for the League (NNL) and we really can’t wait to start playing on Sunday. We are playing at home and we are looking forward to it”.
“The pandemic really affected us, but not all of us in the team. Because some of the players left, while some were still training with the team. As we all know, Covid 19 affected the whole world. But we thank God that most of our players are back and are getting together in the team, so hopefully, we are going to do well, because we are ready”, he admitted.
Jide Taiwo will hope to help his team to a winning start in the new NNL season when they battle Gateway Fc at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.
