In an attempt to keep their players fit enough for the resumption of the Nigerian national league which was postponed indefinitely, shooting stars sporting club were involved in a friendly match with Smart City FC.
Played at Lekan Salami stadium in the old city of Ibadan, 3SC shut down their opponents by three goals to nothing with goals from M. Mohammed in the 9th minute, Awujola Sadiq in the 59th minute and Ochidi Micheal in stoppage time gave the Ibadan club side a resounding victory.
The win is the team’s second victory in the four friendlies lined up this month after a seven nil thrashing of Tafida FC.
Earlier in the month, the club had played 0-0 draw with Stationary Stores after which they played out a 2-2 draw with Remo Stars.
The 2019/2020 Nigerian National League remains postponed indefinitely.
