Lekki United FC picked up a very important win against Metropolitan FC, to start the second half of their 2022 Nationwide League One Division One campaign.
Midfielder Bala Ibrahim, who was very instrumental to the flow of the team’s game explained who his game is centered around and how he felt about the win.
“My role model is Jorginho and before each game, I just love to eat rice, drink water and rest a lot before each game,” Bala told Sports247.
“I’m really really excited about today’s game. We played well and played good football, keeping the ball and creating chances to score,” he added.
Lekki United however conceded a late goal in the game as the visitors halved the deficit after piling up the pressure which Bala says wasn’t about tiredness.
“It wasn’t tiredness really, it was just a lot of pressure on us so we had tried to keep the ball and reduce the pressure on us,” he said.
