The second round of fixtures in the Nationwide League One Division One started with a victory for Newboys Lekki United, courtesy of a brace from Chima Oluebube, who revealed his role model and praised the tactics of his manager.
Chima opened the scoring in the 28th minute and added a second at the other side of the break before Metropolitan FC got a late consolation goal.
“I feel very happy scoring two goals today. From the start, we played to the coach’s instructions and we got the goals and I’m happy I could score two,” Chima told Sports247.
“We tried our best in the first half to play to the tactics of the coach and luckily for us, we got the first goal from it. The second goal also came from the tactics and I believe it’s helping us in our game,” Chima added.
The young prodigy went on to reveal some personal information about himself, how he models himself after Chelsea’s star, and his pre-match ritual.
“My role model is Mateo Kovacic of Chelsea,” he said.
“I like eating rice and before every game, I like to listen to inspirational quotes and worship songs,” Chima concluded.
