A massive comeback from Liqui Moly FC has seen them grab one of the available playoff tickets in the Nationwide League One Division Two games after they won three games to recover from their matchday one loss.
Liqui Moly lost to Phil FC in their opening game of the campaign but started the comeback defeating Synergy FC and with a final win in the group, media officer of the team Ken Maduabuchi explains the joy in the camp.
“We’re very excited. Another playoff shows the quality in the team, both junior and senior. All the odds were against us not to qualify after the performance of our senior team (Colin Edwin FC) in the NLO and then coming to NLO2 with our junior team losing one winning three and coming up tops,” Ken said.
The media officer further explained the reason behind the teams’ sojourns around the country to different states in order to keep the team busy during the off-season.
“Purely football development,” Ken said. “That is the reflection of what you see on the field of play. It takes us a lot of energy, resources, and so on. After the league prior to the start of the FA Cup, we’ll be returning to camp so it’s all down to hard work,” he concluded.
