With two wins coming on the back of a matchday one loss, Liqui Moly rises to the top of their NLO2 group table pending the outcome of the other games.
The game which ended 3-1 in favor of Liqui Moly, saw a record for the fastest goal being set by the team’s striker Olisegbu Chidera and the player also getting a brace.
The media officer of the team Ken Maduabuchi praised the performance of the lads
“A very wonderful outing by the boys. After the first loss, we knew nothing short of victory will be enough,” Ken told Sports247. “The game was like a derby as we know Synergy well in the system and I’m particularly happy for Chidera who got a brace and fastest goal in the league,” he added.
With sights set on getting a playoff ticket, the team’s chances are not far away and they are not taking their eyes off the price but media officer Ken says the team will take it one game at a time.
“The target has not changed but we’re taking it game by game to see where we’ll end up at the end of the season which is next week. We have six points and we top the table, so we’re hopeful that other results will go in our favor. A playoff ticket will be a wonderful achievement for the Liqui Moly team,” Ken concluded.
