An upset many might call it but Yobo FC have continued their good run in the Nationwide League One campaign in Sagamu and are currently level on point and joint top after five games.
Coach of Yobo FC, Harry Ohioze expressed his delight at picking the win over Collin Edwin after what he described as training working.
“We have been working on goalscoring which has been our problem and I’m glad we got it right today, going two goals ahead, that really got our morale a little bit high and we were able to dominate Collin Edwin FC,” Harry said.
Yobo FC went into the game in the fourth position with seven points and their opponents were second with nine points, meaning the win takes them above Collin Edwin FC into first position, level on points with two other teams and opens the door of hope for the side.
“A lot of people have been saying things like ‘Yobo are not good, they can’t play and so on, sometimes we see chances and we just throw them away, some were even angry with but I’m glad we’re getting it right gradually and we’re not stopping there. We’re going to train more and hope we get somewhere in the league,” the coach explained with gusto.
He also sounded a note of warning to their next opportunity in the league, Tradesafe Sports FC. “I think Tradesafe should be ready because we don’t want to lose any point to any team. As we’re progressing we’re trying to pick our points from any team because we’ve lost points. We’re going all out to pick our points,” a very confident coach Harry said.
