“It’s a really wonderful game. Both teams did really well but we lost the game due to a lack of concentration. I’m actually glad to get an assist, it’s good for me but we lost still,” Buruj FC captain Noah Salaudeen explained to Sports247 on his side’s 3-2 loss to FC Bulmaro.
The Ikorodu boys are playing in the Nationwide League One for the first time ever and the lack of experience has shown in the team as they are languishing at the bottom of the Remo Centre, Ikenne, alongside TCC League team Emmydinho FC who are yet to win a game in the competition.
It’s been two to three weeks of action in the NLO and the league draws to a close with players and coaches learning lessons to take home and apply in preparation for next season.
“We have to step up our game and train better as this is our first time coming to the NLO. We’ve gained some experience so we go back to the training ground to work,” the captain said.
