After a disappointing outing in the last game, Iganmu FC have stepped up their performance to defeat Margate FC 3-0 in their third game of the Nationwide League One and the players are ecstatic.
Speaking to Sports247, Ifeanyi Iweala, a player of Iganmu FC described the game as one in which the players had to come out, tell themselves the truth and get the job done. “It was a good game, we told ourselves the truth that we have to come out and defeat Margate. We had to press them as the coach taught us so as to get a goal,” Ifeanyi said.
Iganmu FC now has six points from possible nine, defeating Buruj in the first game, losing to Zenith Emperor FC in the second, and now a win over Margate FC with five games left to play and Ifeanyi passed a message across to fans of the club.
“Everyone can go on to rejoice. We’re happy and I know he fans are happy too,” he said. “We have five matches more to play and we have to win all five and we can qualify. We can beat any team because we have the squad,” Ifeanyi said.
