Kwara-based football club La Planet Sport Academia are ready for their debut season in the division two of the Nationwide League One (NLO) scheduled to hold from May 22, 2022 through to 28th of the same month.
La Planet were paired alongside six other teams in the list which includes two other fellow Kwara-based clubs Barrier FC and Injector FC with four other teams from Osun state; Alaska FC/Academy, Victory Police FC, Ijesha Warriors and Karamba FC for the Ado-Ekiti centre for this year’s NLO second division league.
Draws and Fixtures for the 7-day event are to be made today, Sunday 22nd of May 2022 with all the seven teams for the centre expected to be in attendance.
“We are ready for the league. The boys are in high spirit even though it’s the first time for some of them to play at this stage. We will approach all the games with determination and purpose” Coach Sheriff Jimoh who is the Technical Adviser of the team told the media immediately after touching down in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.
All matches for the Ado-Ekiti centre of the league are billed to the played at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium located in Ado-Ekiti, the capital city of Ekiti state.
La Planet Sport Academia were the 2020 champions of one of the topmost preseason tournaments in Nigeria, the Amapro football championship.
The Football outfit also won the 2021 edition of the Kwara State Football Association Super League, AGF Abdulrazaq Cup and YSFON U-17 football competiton.
